The Western world naively thinks that Islam is like all other faiths. If people want to, they can just assimilate and become part of the culture wherever they are at. But this is not the case.
It is forbidden for Muslims to assimilate into the culture of an infidel. The only reason they are permitted to live in the land of the infidel is to bring Islam to that nation. Not necessarily through violent jihad, but cultural jihad.
Classical jurists also divided the world into categories like:
- Dar al-Islam (“abode of Islam”)
- Dar al-Harb (“abode of war”)
According to Majid Khadduri’s War and Peace in the Law of Islam (1955), jihad exists until nothing but Islam is dominant. There is no other option for an Islamicist. A
“Residence among the disbelievers is forbidden for the Muslim if he is unable to establish his religion.” — Majmu‘ al-Fatawa, 18/284
Another related statement:“If the Muslim is unable to manifest his religion in a land, then migrating from it becomes obligatory.” — Majmu‘ al-Fatawa, 18/282–283
These ideas are not just from their scholars, but the basis of this reality stems from the teachings of the Quran. There are multiple verses that say that Islam must be the accepted religion and must be dominant over all others. It’s a “peace through domination” message.
“And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers” (Quran 3:85).
“And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah” (Quran 8:39).
“He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it conqueror of all religion however much idolaters may be averse” (Quran 61:9).
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture – [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled” (Quran 9:29).
“O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you – then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people” (Quran 5:51).
“And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way over the believers.”

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: “The Prophet (ﷺ) said: He who copies any people is one of them” Sunan Abi Dawud 4031.
“Peace” comes through the sword or through cultural domination of the entire world. There can be association in the sense that there can be relationships and service in key areas. But Islam does not assimilate or integrate. Only Western nations cannot understand this where assimilation is almost a cultural value.
Islam is not here to co-exist. It is here to spread Islam throughout the entire world and in every country. Many Muslims are peaceful and wonderful people. But the reality is that there is an overarching agenda for Islam to take over the world.
Do we want a faith in our nations where the prophet himself, the perfect moral exemplar, said Allah told him to marry a 6 year old and so he did (Sahih al-Bukhari 5133)? Or that if a man only fears disobedience he can beat his wife (Quran 4:34)? Or that a woman captured in battle has her marriage annulled and a man have her sexually (Quran 4:24; Sahih Muslim 1456a)? Or a man can marry, have relations, and divorce a little girl all prior to puberty (Quran 65:4)?
