Islamic Heaven vs Biblical Heaven

God is so far beyond us, yet He has done extraordinary things for us.  For Christians, He humbled Himself to become man to save us from our sins.  We were too bankrupt to do it ourselves, but He came to our rescue.

For this, we live for His glory, His pleasure, and His honor out of deep gratitude of our hearts.  We are so thankful for all that He has done for us.  This is the echo of Heaven, living for the praise of His glory:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being” (Rev 4:11)

In a loud voice they were saying:
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and
under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!” (Rev 5:12-13)

We will do many great things in heaven, as God has made us.  But we do know at the center of it all is Jesus:

‘Never again will they hunger;
    never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
    nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
    will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

For Christians, in heaven, we will give honor, thanks and praise to the One who is worthy.

Now compare that to the Islamic idea of Paradise.

1) Men will have women (houris – perpetual virgins) of equal age, with bright eyes, and large breasts for the pleasure of men.  (From Grok)

Indeed, for the righteous is attainment — Gardens and grapevines, and full-breasted [companions] of equal age, and a full cup.” (Sahih International translation)

Other common English translations render the key Arabic phrase “wa kawāʿib atrābā” (وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا) as:

  • “maidens with swelling breasts, like of age” (Arberry)
  • “young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age” (Hilali-Khan)
  • “full-bosomed maidens of equal age” (some others)
  • More neutral versions: “splendid companions well matched” or “youthful companions of equal age” (e.g., Asad, Pickthall in some renderings)

The word kawāʿib (plural of kāʿib) is the source of the “large/full/swelling breasts” interpretation. Classical Arabic lexicons (like Lane’s) and many traditional tafsirs (e.g., Ibn Kathir, Tabari, Qurtubi) link it to a young woman whose breasts are beginning to swell, becoming prominent, rounded, or full — often emphasizing youthfulness, virginity, and firmness (not sagging). Ibn Kathir, for instance, explains it as indicating “fully rounded and not sagging” breasts because the houris are eternal virgins of prime age.

2) Martyrs will receive 72 virgins/houris for their deviant pleasures

Narrated Al-Miqdam bin Ma’diykarib:”That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There are six things with Allah for the martyr. He is forgiven with the first flow of blood (he suffers), he is shown his place in Paradise, he is protected from punishment in the grave, secured from the greatest terror, the crown of dignity is placed upon his head – and its gems are better than the world and what is in it – he is married to seventy two wives along Al-Huril-‘Ayn of Paradise, and he may intercede for seventy of his close relatives” (Jami’ at-Tirmidhi 1663)

3) Wine is abundant for all, in fact, rivers of wine for the inhabitants of Paradise

Wine is strictly forbidden on earth.  It is from Satan.

Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:90-91 (the clearest and final prohibition) “O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants (khamr), gambling, [sacrificing on] stone altars [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:90-91).

Surah Muhammad 47:15 “The description of Paradise which the righteous are promised is that in it are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, wherein they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord…

The texts of Islam say that there won’t be many regular women there.  They are mostly all in hell.

“Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Once Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) of `Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, “O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women).” They asked, “Why is it so, O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) ?” He replied, “You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you” (Sahih al-Bukhari 304).

So it’s not the women who make up all the sex slaves of paradise.  They are in Hell.  It’s the houris who are perpetual virgins that are in Paradise with the men.

What do women get that actually do make it to Paradise?  What is their reward?  They get to be in Paradise in a courtyard on nice couches (Quran 36:56), with their husbands as she watches them have sexual relations with all the houris.

Do you see the difference between the Paradise of the Bible and the Paradise of the Muslim.  The Paradise of the Bible is God-centered, other-centered, and filled with worship and gratitude for the goodness of God.

The heaven of Islam is all about self-gratification, selfish pleasure, and fulfilling selfish desire.  It’s all about sex and women.  Or we should say, perpetual virgins.

Which one do you think is the true reality?
